Description
De-Awner Machine – Barley Awn Remover
The Agrotech De-Awner Machine is an industrial cereal processing machine designed to remove awns from barley kernels and assist in separating joined double kernels in wheat.
The equipment uses a mechanical treatment mechanism housed within a fully enclosed steel casing, making it suitable for integration into industrial grain processing and preparation lines.
Operating Principle
The machine contains a high-speed rotating shaft fitted with steel beaters arranged at irregular intervals.
As grain passes through the enclosed processing chamber, the rotating beaters apply mechanical action to the product.
This action breaks and removes awns attached to barley kernels and helps separate joined double kernels in wheat.
The treated material can then proceed to subsequent grain cleaning and processing stages.
